We apply a unique goals-based process that is designed to allow us to deliver meaningful and enhanced wealth management solutions to our clients. We spend the necessary time to develop a deep and thorough understanding of your unique situation to ensure that we are very clear on your short – medium- and long-term financial aspirations.
We then apply our technical wealth management expertise to construct financial strategies around your unique set of circumstances and personal aspirations. We call this a Life Plan.
Most importantly we then provide the ongoing support and access to ensure you are actively implementing the steps to achieve your Life Plan. Our experience over many years has shown us that the best advice in the world is meaningless if it is not executed accurately and in a timely manner.
By developing a deep and thorough understanding of where you are today, we can identify and help to solve the complex issues that may impede your ability to achieve your Life Plan.
1. Discovery
Our “discovery meeting” is our initial consultation and is completed at a charge of $290 or $440 (time dependent). Importantly, this charge is rebated to you should you wish to engage our practice formally.
This consultation is about you.
We will provide context for our meeting, take you through our unique process and get you thinking about what you want to achieve in your life. We will ask you lots of questions, designed to start giving us a deep understanding of where you are today and where you want to get to. We may need to have a

After our discovery meeting, we then apply our technical wealth management expertise to construct financial strategies around your individual set of circumstances and personal aspirations.
Some of the complexities we think about are:
- What factors will prevent you from achieving your aspirations?
- Can we simplify your current position?
- Do you have the right ownership and wealth creation structures in place?
- Are your current structures suitable for a seamless and tax effective transfer of wealth to the next generation?
We will then provide you with our Terms of Engagement. This is where we develop and agree to the scope of work we will undertake for you, and the investment required by you to formally engage West Cape Wealth Management to work for you.
The investment required by you to retain our services is agreed by you prior to the commencement of any work. This gives our clients absolute clarity on costs before we start our work.
3. Advice for You - Your Life Plan
We are now very clear on your aspirations and the scope of our engagement. We now build you meaningful advice designed to allow you to achieve your aspirations. We call this your Life Plan. We deliver your Life Plan and any product advice in a formal document called a Statement of Advice. This is our road map that outlines our recommended strategies and any recommended financial products.
4. Access
Should you choose to accept our recommendations, you will now have ongoing access to our team to ensure timely and accurate execution of our recommended strategies. Our expertise in the execution and project management process is where our private clients gain maximum benefit. We complete all administration on your behalf, liaise with your existing or referred professional specialists and take the burden of time away from you to ensure all recommendations are completed and managed.
5. Progress
Generally, at the completion of our first years’ work we formally review your Life Plan. For our more complex clients, we will conduct progress meetings more regularly.

These progress meetings are designed to add tremendous value to your life, as it is the chance for you to visualise and analyse your progress.
Your Life Plan is going to evolve. Changes in personal circumstances, legislation, health or any one of a multiple of factors is going to require an adjustment in your planning and strategy.
Our ongoing role is to apply our expertise to your evolving needs and repeat our unique process regularly to ensure you are on track to achieve your Life Plan, regardless of whatever life challenges come your way.
