My family have a long association with the South West region of W.A.  From Boyup Brook and Bridgetown, to the banks of the Blackwood river in Augusta and now in Margaret River, my family have an extensive history in owning and operating small businesses across multiple industries.

What I observed through my experiences in both small business and in previous employment, was many families who failed to adequately plan their finances found themselves exposed when personal or economic circumstances changed.  This was in part my motivation which led me to the wealth management profession.

You see, I haven’t always worked in wealth management and my journey is fairly unique compared to most of my peers.  In my late twenties, I was at a crossroads.  I was working on remote gold mines in W.A. and had travelled extensively, but was not content.  I was fascinated by the concept of building and preserving wealth for the future but did not believe I had the expertise to do so.  I knew a formal education and real market experience, coupled with strong technical competence, could genuinely help, not only my own family, but others who didn’t have the expertise or time to build and manage their own family wealth.

How does one go from the diesel and dust of mine sites in remote parts of WA, to managing significant family wealth for private clients?  Well it takes allot of time and plenty of hard work.  It also took a determined ability to identify what I wanted to achieve and then being able to map a plan to secure my future.  Being able to adapt my plan to navigate the inevitable bumps along the way and stay on track to achieve my aspirations was the most crucial aspect of my Life Plan.

This is the proven capability I deliver to my clients every day.

My journey has at times been arduous and stressful.  But ultimately worthwhile, as today I now get to help everyday Australians achieve a better financial future for themselves and their family.  Why am I sharing my story?  I share my story, to articulate that it is indeed possible for one to completely alter their future outcomes.

Authenticity is important.

This passion for helping my clients achieve their personal aspirations by delivering meaningful and enhanced wealth management outcomes is complemented by my technical knowledge of the business and numerous professional qualifications and education background.

Peta Rapley

Operations Manager

I have over 20 years of professional wealth management experience in numerous operational and executive management roles.

I began my financial services career in November 1997 at just age 21 having never had any experience in the field but full of hope & optimism at the prospect of being able to really help people.

I remember the first week in my new role, I had to phone a client (that I had never met before) to assist him following the passing of his beloved wife the week prior.  This gentleman was a high net worth client and a retired professional but emotionally was at the very bottom having just lost the love of his life and being overwhelmed by the task confronting him.

Being able to guide him through the process of funeral arrangements, collating information for probate and then ultimately distributing her Estate, we managed to forge a bond of mutual respect & admiration that lasted throughout the remainder of his life.

It was at his funeral many years later that I reflected that wealth is not just about money but about a life well lived.

I truly believe that client relationships are about consistently doing the “little big things” right and that we can have a positive impact on client’s lives, dreams & well-being through meaningful wealth management strategies.

Belle Evans

Client Services Manager & Executive Assistant

I have over 10 years’ experience in accounts management, book keeping and client management roles in both the financial services and other sectors.

Growing up, money was always something that was earned.  When I turned 18, I applied for a small loan for my first car and my parents chose not to be a guarantor for the loan, so I had no safety net. This taught me that I was responsible for my success in paying back the loan. I also believe this was a great lesson about the value of money.

As a Mum to two young boys, I realise that teaching my children the value of money is imperative.  I believe this education begins at home and I’m looking forward to the ongoing challenge that this presents.  I also believe that parents should have open discussions about money with their children and this is something that we strive to do with our boys.

As Malcolm and I have grown our family and built our wealth management practice simultaneously, I have also come to realise the importance of understanding that wealth is not just about money.  Other aspects such as health and wellness and quality time together as a family, contribute greatly to our family’s overall wealth and are as equally important
